Set an important goal

The problem to solve was the failure to meet increasing customer demand. The critical success factor was building production capacity to deliver 10 tons of product per week. The picture of success was all customers receiving their orders in full and on time.

Design incremental solutions

The improvement challenge was to deliver incremental monthly gains. The analysis of current reality identified the starting point and the Packing team became the improvement focus, which was expanded to meet targets.

STEADY FLOW

Deliver monthly targets

Monthly targets were set and sufficient improvement activity was planned. Selected tasks were implemented using fourteen day actions and delivery guides. Agile project capability was developed to accelerate delivery.

TRACK

Sustain continuous improvement

Accountability to sustain performance improvement was transferred to operational teams. A continuous improvement process was established, monthly skills training provided and a formal review process established.
